SEG Automotive has made an investment of €23,400,000 and has received €9,360,000 in funding through the incentive programme for unique electric mobility projects under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union.

e-Bike Project

SEG Automotive's electric bicycle motor is the latest development in the field of light electric mobility from the Treto factory. Driven by workers of the Cantabrian plant, this motor stands out for its light weight, power and software customization adapted to each customer.

SEG AUTOMOTIVE has made an investment of 2,219,074€, having obtained financing of 887,630€ from the European Funds - Next Generation, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Vehicle Control Unit Project

The VCU (Vehicle Control Unit), together with the BRM machine and the Inverter, allows SEG Automotive to be an integral supplier for 100% urban electric vehicles, last mile and L3e-L7e light vehicle applications.

SEG Automotive has made an investment of 851,300€, having obtained 340,520€ in financing from the European Funds - Next Generation, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Talent and Employment

Granting of a subsidy regulated by Order EPS/21/2021, of 10 June, which establishes the regulatory bases of the "Talent and Employment: Vocational training tailored to companies in strategic sectors" programme, according to the Resolution of the Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Commerce and convened in Order IND/42/2025 of 02 September, approving the granting of the same to SEG Automotive Spain, S.A.U., for the execution of the Training Plan and its Training Actions, which may be financed in part by funds from the European Union or the General State Administration, subject to the regulatory bases established in European or national regulations, as appropriate.

To promote and extend in the company and its staff, training that contributes to personal and professional development and promotion at work. The financing of the SEG Automotive Spain, S.A.U. Training Plan will contribute to the requalification and professional retraining of its staff to be able to take on future projects at the plant.

New stator PL line

SEG Automotive Spain, S.A.U. has completed the project ‘Development of the new automated PL8Q stator manufacturing line for BRM-GEN2’ at its plant in Treto (Cantabria), a key initiative to strengthen its industrial and technological competitiveness in the automotive sector.

This initiative has received a grant under the CRECE 3 programme to promote industrial investment in Cantabria. The initiative has been financed through a grant from the Regional Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Trade of the Government of Cantabria, reaffirming the institutional commitment to strengthening the industrial fabric and innovation in the region.

The investment included the incorporation of advanced machinery and high-tech automatic systems, as well as the adaptation of the plant's industrial layout.

Xtela project support 2025

By means of Resolution SOD/AXT/25/25, dated 16 April 2025, a call for applications has been issued for the 2025 grant programme aimed at promoting collaborative projects within the Business Acceleration and Open Innovation Programme (Xtela Programme), within the ‘TECHFABLAB’ initiative of the Retech programme, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) financed by the European Union -Next Generation EU-, published in the BOC No. 81 dated 29 April 2025.

The grant or subsidy in the amount of €10,000 is awarded for the technological challenge project presented by SEG Automotive Spain.
